About Jasleen
My journey into computer programming began with curiosity about how software applications are designed and how computers follow instructions. This interest encouraged me to pursue advanced studies in computer science, eventually completing a PhD in the field. Over the past 10 years, I have taught programming to students with different academic backgrounds and learning goals.
I believe that programming education should focus on understanding concepts rather than memorizing code patterns. Many beginners feel uncertain when they first start coding, so my teaching style emphasizes patience and structured explanation. By guiding students through simple examples and gradually introducing more complex ideas, I help them develop confidence in their abilities.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new programming technologies and learning about developments in software engineering. Staying updated with modern tools allows me to bring practical insights into my lessons. Teaching programming gives me the opportunity to support students as they develop valuable technical skills and discover the creativity involved in building software solutions.

Programming becomes much more approachable when students understand the logical structure behind computer instructions. My lessons focus on helping learners develop strong foundations in coding and computational thinking. We begin by exploring basic concepts such as variables, conditions, loops, and functions. Understanding these elements allows students to see how programs are built step by step.
During lessons, I guide students through practical programming exercises using common languages such as Python or Java. Each concept is explained clearly before students practice writing their own code. Activities include solving simple algorithmic problems, understanding data structures, and learning how to identify and correct errors in programs. I encourage students to experiment with their code because exploring different solutions helps them develop stronger programming skills.
As students progress, they begin to view programming as a creative and logical process rather than a difficult technical task. Writing programs helps learners develop patience, structured thinking, and problem-solving ability. My goal is to help students feel confident working with technology and capable of creating solutions through code. With steady guidance and clear explanations, programming becomes an engaging and valuable skill.
