About Madeline
My journey in programming started with curiosity about how software works and how computers solve problems. This interest led me to pursue a Master’s in Computer Science and begin teaching coding to students of various levels. Over 8 years, I have helped learners develop foundational programming skills while building confidence in their abilities.
I believe effective programming education requires patience, clarity, and real-life application. Many beginners struggle with abstract concepts, so I focus on step-by-step instruction, practical exercises, and active engagement. This method helps students understand logic rather than memorize code.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring new programming technologies, building small projects, and staying updated on coding trends. Helping students gain independence and problem-solving skills in programming is deeply rewarding, and I aim to inspire learners to approach technology with confidence and curiosity.

My lessons focus on developing coding skills in languages like Python and Java while building problem-solving abilities. I emphasize understanding over memorization, helping learners see patterns, logic, and connections within code.
During lessons, I guide students through practical exercises and projects to reinforce learning. Tasks include writing small programs, debugging errors, and designing algorithms for specific problems. Each concept is explained clearly and applied immediately, encouraging active participation. I support students in developing both confidence and independence by gradually increasing challenges while providing clear guidance.
As students advance, they gain logical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to approach problems systematically. Many become excited about creating projects that work and seeing their code in action. My goal is to help learners feel confident exploring programming, equipping them with practical skills, and fostering a mindset that encourages continuous learning and problem-solving.
