About Lyra
My journey into computer programming began with curiosity about how digital systems work and how ideas can come to life through code. Over the past eight years, that curiosity has grown into deep expertise and a love for teaching others this powerful skill. Coding has taught me discipline, creativity, and resilience, and I strive to pass on those same qualities to my students. Watching a student write their first working programme is one of the most rewarding moments in my teaching career. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace and background. Some learn best through visuals, others through repetition or problem-based learning. I encourage experimentation and independent thinking, guiding students to understand not just what the solution is, but why it works. My lessons are structured yet flexible, making sure students feel supported while still being challenged to grow beyond what they think is possible. Outside of teaching, I spend time working on personal coding projects, exploring new programming languages, and staying up to date with evolving technologies. I believe that a great teacher must continue to learn and evolve alongside their students. For me, programming is not just a technical skill — it is a way to think, create, and shape the future. Sharing that power with my students is both an honour and a true passion.

Computer programming is the foundation of modern innovation, and in my lessons, I guide students to understand not just how to write code, but how to think like programmers. I create a learning environment that is engaging, encouraging, and curiosity-driven. Students are introduced to coding as both a logical and creative process, where problem-solving and imagination work together. The focus is on clarity, patience, and exploration, allowing learners to feel comfortable experimenting with ideas and learning from their mistakes without feeling overwhelmed. Beginners start by learning basic programming structures, logic, variables, loops, and simple algorithms. Intermediate students explore functions, object-oriented concepts, debugging techniques, and basic software development practices. Advanced learners move into data structures, complex algorithms, project design, and application development. I integrate real-world examples, small projects, and coding challenges that stimulate critical thinking and creativity. Lessons also include support for academic assignments and preparation for coding assessments or technical interviews. The impact of learning programming goes far beyond the computer screen. Students gain sharper analytical skills, improved concentration, and greater independence in problem-solving. I have seen quiet, hesitant learners transform into confident creators of websites, programmes, and applications. Each completed project is a reminder of their growing abilities. My goal is not just to teach syntax, but to help students develop a mindset that is logical, innovative, and fearless in the face of complex challenges.
