About Rui
I am a professor of computer engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico and currently a doctoral student specializing in Artificial Intelligence. I've taught several subjects, such as Operating Systems, Distributed Systems, Object-Oriented Programming (Java), and Compilers.
Some of the topics and languages I teach:
- Python, Java, C and C++, Kotlin, R, Javascript.
- Operating Systems (Multi-threading, Processes, Memory, Pipes).
- Distributed Systems (RMI, SunRPC, RabbitMQ).
- Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (Pytorch, OpenCV, Keras, Scikit-learn).
- Computer Architecture (MIPS, Assembly).
- Compilers and Programming with Objects.
- Web applications (Django, Spring MVC, React JS).
I have experience in teaching people with basic, intermediate, and advanced knowledge. I help prepare students for exams and projects and also students who need to consolidate knowledge, or who want to learn a new language.

Depending on the student's level of knowledge, I try to make the students understand the bases so that it is easier to evolve. I illustrate the material with examples and only advance after the student has shown confidence in what they have learned.
I support several modalities:

- Support for tests or exams, solving exercises.
