About Sophie
With a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics and more than seven years of teaching experience, I am passionate about guiding high school students through IB and A-Level Mathematics. My approach is built on three pillars: conceptual clarity, diverse problem-solving, and steady exam practice. I help students move beyond memorization to truly understand mathematical principles. This foundation allows them to confidently tackle both familiar and unfamiliar problems. I emphasize past paper practice to ensure students are fully prepared for exam formats. My strongest areas are Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics, and I enjoy showing how these topics connect logically. I tailor each lesson to the individual student’s strengths and weaknesses. Over the years, I have seen struggling learners transform into confident problem-solvers. I encourage critical thinking and persistence at every step.
