About Samarpit
Hello everyone, My name is Samarpit Sharma, and I am a Biology teacher. I have completed my M.Sc. in Biology, and I am passionate about teaching and exploring the wonders of the living world with my students. Biology is not just about learning facts—it's about understanding how life works, from the tiniest cells to the largest ecosystems. In our classes, we'll use examples from everyday life, interactive activities, and simple explanations to make biology fun and easy to understand. Whether we’re learning about plants, animals, the human body, or the environment, I will always encourage you to ask questions, think critically, and enjoy discovering the science of life. My Approach as a Biology Teacher (TGT Level) and How I Share My Knowledge 1. Teaching Techniques and Methods: As a Biology teacher at the TGT level, my teaching is based on making biology interactive, relatable, and conceptually strong. I use the following techniques: Diagrammatic and Visual Learning: Since biology involves many structures and processes, I use labeled diagrams, flowcharts, and animations to make learning more visual and easy to retain. Storytelling Method: I explain biological processes like respiration, digestion, reproduction, etc., in the form of stories to maintain interest. Activity-Based Learning: I include model making, role plays (like cell organelles acting as parts of a city), and simple experiments to make the classroom more hands-on. Questioning Techniques: I frequently use HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions and encourage students to ask "why" and "how" to develop scientific thinking. ICT Integration: I use PowerPoint presentations, YouTube videos, and interactive quizzes to reinforce learning digitally. 2. Special Features as a Teacher: Simplification of Concepts: I can break down complex biology topics (like genetics, evolution, etc.) into simple, understandable parts. Student-Friendly: I maintain a friendly and approachable nature, so students feel comfortable asking questions. Focus on Concept + Exam: I prepare students both for conceptual understanding and board/competitive exams with a balanced approach. Use of Mnemonics & Tricks: I use short tricks and memory aids, especially in classification and scientific terminology. 4. Target Audience of My Classes: My classes are mainly intended for: Middle and Secondary School Students (Classes 6 to 10): For general science, with emphasis on biology. ---
