About Tumi
With 9 years of experience in violin teaching, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and skill levels, including beginners and advanced learners. I teach school students, college learners, and working professionals, helping them grow step by step in their musical journey.
My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding each student’s needs and guiding them with patience and care. I believe that learning violin should be clear, structured, and stress-free.
I start with strong basics such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and note reading, and then gradually introduce advanced lessons. I also include exercises that improve coordination, tone, and consistency.
I have successfully taught more than 150 students, many of whom have improved their confidence and playing skills. I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable. My aim is to make violin learning simple, effective, and enjoyable.

My teaching style is focused on making violin learning clear, structured, and enjoyable for every student. I use real-life examples and case studies to explain musical ideas so students can understand and apply them easily. I focus on important fundamentals such as posture, finger placement, bow control, and scales, ensuring students develop strong technical skills.
I teach step by step and make sure students are confident before progressing further. I also adapt my lessons based on individual learning needs. I maintain open communication and encourage students to share their thoughts and difficulties.
I provide regular feedback and support their growth. I follow honesty, patience, and commitment in my teaching. Apart from violin, I also teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, and performance techniques.
