I have been employed as a Youth Worker and Community Learning & Development worker over the last 30 years and have extensive experience of both local government and the voluntary sectors. I have focused my work on Detached and Outreach work and adhered to a community development approach, facilitating empowerment and community ownership with a broad array of community projects and initiatives. My academic background is in Sociological theory & political philosophy. I have a strong commitment to person centered learning and view education as an empowering process.
