About Sofia
I ensure there is an initial meeting with each student prior to beginning our lessons to assess their needs and learning styles as well as compatibility. In our second session we will create a timeline with objectives; after which I will send a flexible calendar covering dates and subject matter. All resources distributed during lessons will also be made available in a shared google drive. Every 3 weeks we will have a 10 minute check-in to give each other feedback and adjust our objectives.

I have experience teaching spanish in classrooms as well as one on one. I have private tutored several students with learning and at different points in their language acquisition. I have also incorporated bilingual tutoring into other subject help for students in ESL. I create my own lessons based on research about language acquisition for students at different points of neurological development. Lessons are always interactive and accompanied with extra worksheets and tools/resources for independent practice. I am extremely responsive to criticism and will always incorporate the individual needs and interests of the student.
