About Abby
I have plenty of experience with creative and academic writing from my college courses at the University of South Florida and the college-level English classes I took in high school. Outside of tutoring, I am an aspiring author looking to get my novels and creative nonfiction essays published. I have a passion for teaching writing and proofreading because I want to give people, especially people who want to make a career out of writing like I have, the opportunity to learn new skills and write things that bring them joy. I I am open-minded to all story or essay ideas and will provide feedback that is constructive but kind. I will also answer any questions students may have to the best of my ability to ensure that my lessons are of high quality and are easy to understand.

If you choose me as your tutor, I will give you lessons in everything you need to know about writing, both creative and academic. I am looking to help both English students and aspiring writers learn skills that will make their writing interesting and polished. I also want to give writers the time and inspiration they need to practice their writing; something lots of schools and universities don't offer much of. A typical lesson plan includes a 20-30 minute lecture on craft or proofreading techniques, followed by a 15-20 minute practice session or writing exercise and feedback from myself. I work best with high school and college students, but lessons are open to anyone with a passion for writing.
