My teaching philosophy is to begin at the beginning and go on from there as quickly as my students can handle the material. I can look over students' work and see where their weaknesses are and teach them how to correct for them. And I try to do it all with a sense of humor.

Jo An and I taught English composition and literature together for nearly thirty years at our local community college. She's an amazing teacher with the ability to teach with humor while insisting on the highest standards from her students. She made learning fun, and her students love her.
