Daeri has a PhD in chemistry and she is a fantastic teacher. She has had decades of experience teaching chemistry both at the high school and college level. Some professors have vast amount of knowledge but not great at teaching the information. Deari is someone who has vast amount of knowledge in chemistry but also really good at teaching chemistry. She is a college chemistry professor who is known for her ability to meet students where they are in their learning journey. She is caring and highly skilled in teaching difficult and abstract concepts. Her classes are highly sought after each semester by students. Her classes fill quickly each semester because students know how well she teaches. Daeri taught both of my sons chemistry when they are in AP chemistry during high school. She really helped them improve and the result is very high grades in their classes and they both passed their AP exams. I highly recommend her. I cannot think of a better person to tutor your student chemistry than Daeri.

Coming into Chemistry, I was extremely overwhelmed because I didn't feel like I received a good foundation in high school, but it turns out I had nothing worry about! She made the transition from Biology to Chemistry seamless and not overwhelming. She was there to assist me with whatever questions I had and worked really hard to make sure all of the students, including myself, were understanding the content. I loved how she explained everything and made sure we understood the "Why" behind the topics... why trends, formulas and reactions were were the way they were, instead of just saying this is this and that's it. Especially during the summer, when it is so fast paced. she still was able to keep the class calm and not overwhelming. In addition to explaining things really well, she had a lot of memory devices that help for further understanding. I feel like I have a strong foundation now and feel good going into Chem 2 with the help of Dr. T!

I returned to college this year as a post-baccalaureate student to take some additional science courses. I was nervous about chemistry since it was the first science course I have taken in nearly 20 years. Dr. T was a fantastic professor who made my return to academics enjoyable. She was able to take complex materials and concepts and break them down so that they were easily understandable. I often contacted her with questions regarding the material and she always responded in a timely manner and with the information that I needed. I can honestly say that she is one of the best science professors I have had over the years and I was grateful to have her to help me through this difficult subject.

I enjoyed learning from Dr. Tenery the most because she used more of an interactive approach in her lectures and made chemistry fun. She also never hesitated to take more time to teach a concept you were having difficulty understanding, and always made you feel comfortable asking questions.

She is very passionate about what she does and always went the extra mile to create WONDERFUL teaching videos to help students. She always showed her concern for her students in class as well as outside of the classroom by responding quickly to all emails and questions about the material, reviewing material at the beginning of the class, and thoroughly reading the "Muddiest Point" discussion posts to help students with what they do not fully understand. She seems to genuinely care about her students and how well they learn the material. All teaching material was available in advance to allow for those students who like to work ahead and was very accommodating to students' schedules. For example, I needed to be able to work around my children's schedule, and she worked with me so that I could take my tests early. Highly recommend; she is a great teacher!!
