About Merlin
As a medical student, having recently finished my high school experience, I bring both a fresh perspective and a deep understanding of the student journey to my tutoring approach. With over six years of tutoring experience and my role as a mentor within medical school, I am well-equipped to support and guide students effectively.
Having been through the system myself, I understand the challenges and pressures students face. This firsthand experience fuels my commitment to providing the kind of support I wished for during my own studies. I have been working as a tutor for over 6 years and am familiar with exam board requirements. I tailor each lesson to individual needs but structure 1hr lessons in the following general format, prioritising active recall:
- Starter based on previously taught topic
- Teach and consolidate knowledge on new topic
- End with exam-style questions and how to approach them
I teach anyone from year 7 to year 13 :)
