"Young beginners and returning learners often discover that singing feels like an uphill battle at first. I hold an MMus Vocal Performance degree from the KCL and RAM joint programme, which grounds my technical advice in rigorous academic study. Having performed as a classical vocalist across the UK for 13 years, I understand the pressure of the stage. This 7 years of experience allows me to support grade exam candidates from Grade 1 through Diploma level with ease.
Most people are surprised to find that I focus heavily on the mechanics of belting technique rather than just aesthetics. I keep lessons energetic while maintaining a focus on vocal health and care to protect your instrument. Sight singing and stage fear management are essential components of my work with students.
Developing resonance and tone requires time, though we often find the process quite rewarding. I genuinely enjoy the transformation that occurs when a student finds their true voice."
