I have played chess for most of my conscious life, and have been in the top percentile of players on chess.com for both rapid and bullet. I have played and won many OTB tournaments and am very passionate about teaching chess; not just what moves are good, but why they're good!

I provide individualised chess instruction for players of all skill levels, from novices to pros. In order to develop strong strategic thinking, my teaching approach blends interactive exercises like tactical puzzles, model games, and endgame practice with concise explanations of basic concepts. A normal lesson consists of a puzzle-based warm-up, concentrated study of openings, strategies, or endgames, followed by real-world gameplay and thorough post-game analysis to pinpoint areas of strength and growth. My ability to modify lessons to fit the learning preferences of each student makes sessions interesting, enjoyable, and confidence-boosting. With encouraging and methodical instruction, I hope to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a deeper comprehension of chess in all of my students, adult learners, and competition-ready students.
