About Mira

I am a chess tutor with 9 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology and Game Strategy. My passion for chess comes from its powerful blend of logic, creativity, and emotional control. Teaching chess allows me to guide students in building stronger thinking habits while also enjoying the excitement of competitive learning. I have worked with students preparing for tournaments, school clubs, and personal development goals.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes understanding over memorization. I help students learn why positions work, how to recognize patterns, and how to make decisions with confidence rather than guessing. Chess is also deeply psychological, and I support learners in developing calm focus, resilience after losses, and patience during difficult games. Many students discover that chess strengthens their confidence not only in competition, but also in everyday problem-solving.

Outside teaching, I continue studying chess through analysis of classic games, modern strategic research, and exploring cognitive learning methods. Watching students transform from uncertainty into strategic clarity is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help you feel empowered by chess, confident in your thinking, and excited by your progress. Together, we will build both skill and enjoyment in this timeless game.

My chess lessons are built around helping students become thoughtful, confident decision-makers at the board. Chess is not only about memorizing moves, but about learning how to think clearly, plan ahead, and stay calm under pressure. I teach chess as a structured skill that develops step by step through understanding patterns, practicing tactics, and learning how strategy shapes every position. Each lesson is designed to feel supportive, engaging, and mentally rewarding, whether the student is a beginner or an advanced competitor.

In lessons, we explore opening principles, tactical combinations, positional planning, and endgame technique in a way that strengthens both logic and creativity. Beginners focus on piece movement, simple checkmates, and basic tactics such as forks and pins. Intermediate learners develop deeper calculation habits, stronger positional evaluation, and more confidence in building long-term plans. Advanced students work on tournament preparation, psychological steadiness, time management, and analyzing master-level games for inspiration and learning.

Chess teaches discipline, resilience, and mental focus that extends beyond the board. My goal is to help students enjoy improvement rather than fear mistakes. Over time, learners gain sharper reasoning skills, stronger patience, and greater self-confidence. Each lesson becomes an opportunity to grow intellectually while enjoying the beauty of strategic play.
