About Lana
My fascination with chess began through an interest in strategy and problem-solving. This curiosity eventually led me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Psychology, where I explored how people learn and make decisions. During my 4 years of teaching experience, I have helped students strengthen both their chess abilities and critical thinking skills.
I believe every player can improve when lessons are clear, structured, and encouraging. My teaching style focuses on helping students recognize patterns, evaluate positions, and develop confidence in their choices. I enjoy creating lessons that challenge learners while remaining accessible and engaging.
Outside coaching, I spend time studying tournament games, analyzing new strategies, and following developments in competitive chess. These activities help me keep lessons current and practical. Supporting students as they become stronger and more thoughtful players is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My chess lessons focus on helping students understand how strong decisions are made during a game. We study opening principles, tactical motifs, positional ideas, endgame techniques, calculation methods, and board awareness through structured instruction and practical exercises. I emphasize understanding concepts rather than relying only on memorized moves.
As students improve, lessons include deeper game analysis, planning strategies, pattern recognition, tournament preparation, and decision-making under pressure. We examine real positions and discuss alternative ideas so learners can develop stronger analytical skills. Every lesson is adapted to suit the student's current level and objectives.
I believe chess helps students develop patience, concentration, and logical thinking. My goal is to help learners become confident players who can approach challenges calmly and strategically. Every session supports growth, understanding, and long-term improvement.
