About Saurav
I am a passionate chess player and coach with experience helping students develop their chess skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.
My teaching approach focuses on making chess practical, interactive, and easy to understand. Rather than simply asking students to memorize moves, I help them understand the ideas behind every position and move.
My classes cover chess fundamentals, tactics, calculation, openings, middlegame strategy, endgames, game analysis, and tournament preparation. I also regularly use puzzles and students’ own games to identify mistakes, missed opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Whether you are completely new to chess, looking to improve your rating, or preparing for competitive tournaments, I create lessons according to your current level, goals, and learning pace.
My goal is not just to help students win more games, but to help them become better thinkers and more confident chess players.
