About Zella
My teaching approach in Chemistry is systematic and clear, designed to make even the most complex topics easy to understand. I focus on breaking down structures, reactions, and concepts step by step. I cover subjects like organic chemistry nomenclature, functional groups, reaction mechanisms, stereochemistry, and isomerism.
Lessons begin with building a strong foundation in naming compounds and identifying functional groups. From there, I guide students through reaction mechanisms, showing not just what happens, but why. I use visual aids, examples, and diagrams to make abstract ideas easier to grasp.
I emphasise the connection between structure and reactivity, which is essential for mastering organic synthesis. Students receive consistent feedback, helping them track progress and focus on areas that need improvement. I have experience supporting environmental and marine science students in excelling at organic chemistry.

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 2 years of experience and a BSc in Chemistry, passionate about helping university students excel in quantum chemistry. My goal is to make complex concepts accessible and engaging. I focus on atomic and molecular orbitals, bonding theories, and spectroscopic transitions.
