About Reid
I’m a Chemistry tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry. My passion lies in the fascinating world of natural products and biomolecules. I love exploring the chemistry behind what nature creates—from secondary metabolites and essential oils to natural dyes, plant-based flavors, and bioactive compounds. I help students understand how these molecules are extracted, isolated, and analyzed using modern techniques. We dive into the processes behind chromatography, spectroscopy, and solvent-based separation methods. I also explain the roles these compounds play in medicine, nutrition, and everyday life. My teaching approach in chemistry is built on strong conceptual clarity and active visualization. I focus on step-by-step explanations and structured practice so learners can track their progress clearly. No matter the topic—be it covalent bonding or hybridization—I always relate it to real-world examples.
My goal is to make foundational topics stick, especially for students aiming for science-based careers. Through consistent support and patient guidance, I help them develop strong reasoning and a lifelong appreciation for chemistry.
