About Riley
My interest in chemistry started when I first learned how chemical reactions explain many natural processes around us. I was fascinated by how atoms combine to form different substances and how small changes in molecular structure can create completely different materials. This curiosity motivated me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and later complete a Master’s in Chemistry to deepen my understanding of chemical science.
During the past 9 years, I have worked with students from different educational backgrounds who wanted to improve their understanding of chemistry. Through teaching experience, I realized that many students struggle with chemistry because it is often presented in a very theoretical and complex way. Because of this, I focus on explaining concepts clearly and connecting them with practical examples that students can easily understand.
My teaching style emphasizes patience, structured explanation, and active learning. I encourage students to ask questions and think about why chemical reactions happen instead of only focusing on the final answers. Outside teaching, I enjoy reading scientific research and learning about new discoveries in chemical science.

My chemistry lessons focus on helping students clearly understand the principles that explain how substances interact, transform, and behave in different conditions. Chemistry is often considered challenging because it includes many formulas, reactions, and scientific terms. In my lessons, I explain these topics in simple and organized steps so students can build strong understanding instead of memorizing information without clarity.
Lessons begin with fundamental concepts that form the base of chemical knowledge. Students first learn about atoms, elements, compounds, and the structure of matter. Once these ideas are clear, we gradually move toward topics such as chemical bonding, reactions, and the periodic table. Intermediate learners explore concepts such as reaction types, energy changes, and properties of different substances. Advanced students study topics such as equilibrium, organic chemistry basics, and chemical problem solving techniques.
Chemistry becomes much easier when students understand the relationships between concepts instead of viewing each topic separately. During lessons, I use examples from everyday life, such as chemical reactions in cooking, cleaning, and environmental processes, to help learners connect theory with practical situations. My goal is to help students build confidence in understanding chemical processes and develop strong analytical thinking when solving chemistry problems.
