About Riley
My interest in chemistry began when I first realized how invisible particles could shape the visible world. Over the past nine years, I have dedicated myself to studying and teaching this subject in a way that makes it accessible and engaging for learners of all backgrounds. Watching a student move from confusion to clarity is one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I approach teaching with a balance of structure, encouragement, and adaptability. I understand that every student learns at a different pace, so I take the time to identify their strengths and challenges. My goal is to build a strong conceptual foundation while also nurturing critical thinking and curiosity. I create an environment where questions are welcomed and effort is always recognized. Beyond teaching, I continue to deepen my understanding of chemistry through reading, research, and practical exploration. This continuous learning keeps my lessons fresh and relevant. Chemistry, for me, is more than just a subject — it is a window into understanding the world, and I am passionate about helping my students see through that window with clarity and excitement.

Chemistry is the bridge between theory and the natural world, and my lessons are designed to help students see the beauty and logic behind every reaction. I begin by introducing foundational topics such as atomic structure, the periodic table, and chemical bonding. These concepts are explained clearly and patiently, with real-life examples that make them easier to understand. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore ideas, creating an open and engaging learning environment. My goal is to remove fear or confusion from the subject and replace it with curiosity and confidence.
As students progress, we move into more advanced topics including acids and bases, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and reaction mechanisms. I provide guided practice with balanced equations, mole calculations, and problem-solving strategies to strengthen both accuracy and understanding. Visual aids, diagrams, and step-by-step explanations help students grasp abstract concepts. I also offer support for laboratory work, written assignments, and exam preparation, helping learners approach assessments with clarity and assurance.
Advanced students focus on deeper analysis, experimental thinking, and application of chemical theories. They are guided to observe patterns, make predictions, and connect chemistry with real-world industries such as medicine, engineering, and environmental science. My aim is to inspire students to view chemistry as a fascinating, practical, and powerful scientific discipline.
