About Harper
I have 13 years of experience teaching Chemistry, helping students across different levels develop strong understanding and confidence in scientific reasoning. I earned a B.Sc in Industrial Chemistry, which gave me insight into chemical processes, reaction systems, and the practical applications of chemistry in modern industries. Over the years, I have guided learners who once felt overwhelmed by chemistry into becoming confident students who can approach complex topics with clarity and calm focus.
My teaching approach emphasizes patience, structure, and encouragement. I enjoy breaking down challenging chemical concepts into manageable steps, helping students understand not only how to solve problems but also why chemical principles work. I focus on building long-term understanding through explanation, practice, and consistent feedback that supports each learner’s pace and goals.
Outside of tutoring, I stay engaged with chemistry through continued learning, exploring developments in pharmaceuticals, environmental chemistry, and industrial research. Teaching chemistry is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform uncertainty into confidence and curiosity. Chemistry becomes far more understandable when students recognize it as a subject of reasoning and patterns rather than memorization alone. In my lessons, I guide learners through atomic structure, bonding, stoichiometry, reaction systems, and chemical calculations with step-by-step clarity. I focus on helping students develop confidence by connecting chemical principles to real-world examples in medicine, industry, and everyday life. Each session is supportive, structured, and designed to help learners feel comfortable asking questions and building understanding at their own pace.
Lessons are tailored to the learner’s academic level. Beginners focus on periodic trends, balancing equations, mole concepts, and basic reaction understanding. Intermediate students strengthen skills in acids and bases, equilibrium, thermochemistry, and analytical problem solving. Advanced learners explore organic mechanisms, kinetics, spectroscopy basics, and exam-level challenges. Practice problems and reasoning support are included in every lesson so students develop both conceptual clarity and accuracy.
Chemistry is essential for understanding the molecular world that shapes modern science and technology. As students improve, they begin to see chemical logic everywhere around them.
