About Iris
My fascination with Chemistry began with curiosity about how molecules interact and transform in different conditions. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Physical and Analytical Chemistry, where I gained extensive knowledge in theoretical principles, laboratory techniques, and analytical thinking. Over 10 years of teaching, I have helped learners of various skill levels gain confidence, clarity, and mastery through patient, structured guidance. I prioritize adaptability, clarity, and support in teaching. I take time to understand each student’s thinking style and tailor explanations using diagrams, analogies, and stepwise reasoning. I encourage curiosity, ask questions, and view mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Outside the classroom, I remain engaged with Chemistry through research, experimentation, and following modern scientific developments. Teaching Chemistry is deeply rewarding because I see learners develop analytical skills, confidence, and independence. Supporting students’ growth and helping them approach science with curiosity is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Chemistry becomes engaging when students are guided through concepts in a structured and understandable way. My lessons focus on atomic structure, bonding, reaction mechanisms, thermodynamics, and energy changes, emphasizing understanding and reasoning rather than memorization. I help students see the connections between topics, fostering analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Lessons are designed to gradually build confidence while keeping students motivated and curious.
Lesson content is adapted to the student’s level. Beginners are introduced to chemical symbols, formulas, and simple reactions using visual explanations. Intermediate learners explore stoichiometry, periodic trends, acids and bases, and reaction types with guided practice. Advanced learners focus on equilibrium, kinetics, thermodynamics, and complex reaction pathways, emphasizing problem-solving strategies and accuracy. Carefully chosen exercises reinforce learning and provide a measurable sense of progress.
Chemistry lessons also help students develop patience, logical reasoning, and scientific confidence. As learners gain clarity, they feel more capable of tackling complex scientific problems independently. My goal is to help students understand Chemistry as a structured, logical, and approachable subject.
