About Elliana
My interest in chemistry developed from a fascination with how invisible molecular interactions govern visible changes in materials, energy, and reactions. This curiosity led me to pursue an M.Sc in Physical Chemistry, where I explored the theoretical foundations that explain chemical behavior at a deeper level. Over 12 years of teaching, I have worked closely with students of varying abilities, helping them move from confusion to clarity through structured explanation and supportive guidance.
I believe effective chemistry teaching requires patience, empathy, and adaptability. I take time to understand where students struggle and adjust explanations using diagrams, analogies, mathematical walkthroughs, and real-world examples. Creating a calm, encouraging learning environment allows students to ask questions freely and build confidence in their own reasoning.
Outside teaching, I stay engaged with chemistry through continued academic reading, application-based studies, and exploring how chemical principles support modern technology and industry. Teaching chemistry is deeply fulfilling because it allows me to support students in discovering their analytical strength and developing confidence in scientific thinking.

Chemistry lessons are designed to help students clearly understand how matter behaves at both microscopic and observable levels. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations in atomic theory, molecular interactions, thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, equilibrium, and electrochemistry. Each topic is introduced gradually, with careful explanation of underlying principles so students can understand not only what happens in reactions, but why those changes occur. By connecting theoretical ideas to real-world phenomena, students begin to recognize chemistry as a meaningful and logical science rather than a subject based on memorization.
Lesson structure is carefully adapted to the learner’s academic stage and confidence level. Beginners receive patient guidance with fundamental concepts, terminology, symbolic representation, and basic calculations. Intermediate learners strengthen skills in reaction analysis, energy changes, laboratory interpretation, and multi-step quantitative problems. Advanced students focus on deeper conceptual reasoning, derivations, exam-writing strategies, and scientific justification. Practice questions, discussion, and guided correction are consistently used to reinforce understanding and accuracy.
Beyond academic success, chemistry lessons help students develop analytical thinking, precision, and intellectual confidence. As clarity improves, learners become calmer and more methodical when approaching complex problems. My goal is to help students feel capable, prepared, and confident when engaging with chemistry in both academic and real-life contexts.
