About Raaya
My interest in Chemistry began with a fascination for how tiny particles create the materials and reactions we experience every day. I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry before earning a PhD in Chemical Sciences. During the last 11 years, I have helped students build confidence by turning difficult scientific ideas into clear and manageable lessons.
I believe every learner deserves explanations that match their pace and style of learning. My teaching approach combines simple language, practical examples, and structured guidance to make Chemistry less intimidating. I encourage students to ask questions freely and focus on understanding rather than memorisation.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading about green chemistry, material science, and modern laboratory discoveries. Staying connected with scientific developments helps me bring interesting examples into every lesson. Helping students realise that they can succeed in Chemistry is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My Chemistry lessons are designed to help students understand how substances interact and change in the world around us. I teach topics such as atomic structure, chemical bonding, acids and bases, organic chemistry, reaction rates, and the periodic table using simple explanations and practical examples. Instead of relying only on memorisation, I encourage learners to understand the logic behind every reaction and calculation. Visual illustrations and guided exercises help make complex topics easier to grasp.
I organise each lesson according to the student's current ability and academic goals. Beginners focus on building strong foundations and understanding basic concepts, while intermediate learners strengthen equation balancing, calculations, and analytical thinking. Advanced students work on reaction mechanisms, problem-solving techniques, and deeper scientific understanding through structured practice. Regular revision and feedback help learners improve steadily.
Chemistry develops observation, logical thinking, and attention to detail. My goal is to help students feel confident when approaching scientific problems and laboratory concepts. Through patient guidance and consistent support, learners discover that Chemistry can become both understandable and enjoyable.
