About Rachel
My interest in chemistry developed from a fascination with how invisible interactions create visible change. This curiosity led me to complete a B.Sc in Molecular Chemistry, where I explored chemical behavior at both theoretical and applied levels. Over 6 years of teaching, I have supported students in developing clarity and confidence through patient explanation and structured learning. I value calm instruction and adaptability, recognizing that chemistry often feels overwhelming without proper guidance. I focus on breaking complex ideas into logical steps and using analogies, diagrams, and real-world examples to support understanding. My aim is to create a learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging deeply with ideas. Outside teaching, I continue expanding my knowledge through scientific reading and applied chemistry exploration. These experiences enrich my lessons and keep them relevant. Teaching chemistry is rewarding because I see students move from confusion to confidence, discovering their ability to understand and apply scientific reasoning.

Chemistry becomes engaging when students learn to see it as a story of particles interacting rather than isolated formulas on a page. My lessons focus on helping learners understand how atoms, molecules, and energy changes work together to explain chemical behavior. Topics such as atomic structure, bonding, reaction mechanisms, states of matter, and basic organic chemistry are introduced through logical explanation and clear conceptual framing. I aim to make lessons feel approachable, structured, and intellectually stimulating.
Lesson design is adapted carefully to each learner’s level. Beginners receive strong support with terminology, periodic trends, simple equations, and conceptual visualization. Intermediate students strengthen skills in stoichiometry, equilibrium, thermodynamics, and laboratory-based reasoning. Advanced learners focus on reaction pathways, analytical problem solving, exam strategy, and scientific justification. Each lesson integrates guided practice, reflection, and feedback to ensure understanding develops steadily.
Learning chemistry also builds disciplined scientific thinking. Students learn how to analyze evidence, recognize patterns, and follow logical cause-and-effect relationships. As confidence grows, many learners shift from memorization to genuine understanding. My goal is to help students feel capable of reasoning through chemical problems independently while developing curiosity about how chemistry shapes natural and industrial processes.
