About Zoya

My fascination with chemistry began with a desire to understand how substances interact, transform, and influence the world around us. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Chemistry followed by an M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, equipping me with both theoretical knowledge and laboratory expertise. Over 12 years, I have worked with students at varying levels, helping them develop a deep understanding of chemical principles, practical laboratory skills, and confidence in problem-solving, while nurturing their curiosity and analytical mindset.

I focus on creating an engaging, interactive, and supportive learning environment. Many students initially struggle with complex calculations, multi-step mechanisms, or experimental interpretation, so I break lessons into manageable segments, provide real-life examples, and encourage hands-on participation. This approach fosters both understanding and independent thinking, ensuring learners gain mastery of chemistry concepts and the confidence to apply them creatively.

Beyond teaching, I actively engage with current chemical research, innovative laboratory techniques, and educational methodologies to enrich my lessons with real-world relevance. Observing students progress from confusion to clarity, develop critical thinking, and feel genuinely confident in their chemistry skills is profoundly rewarding. Supporting learners to excel academically while cultivating a deep appreciation and curiosity for chemistry remains the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy.

Chemistry becomes truly engaging when learners can connect abstract concepts to tangible experiments and everyday phenomena. My lessons cover organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry, reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, kinetics, thermodynamics, and chemical equilibria. I emphasize clear, structured explanations supported by real-world examples, problem-solving exercises, and interactive discussions. By fostering a hands-on and inquiry-based approach, students develop a deep understanding of chemical principles while simultaneously building confidence in their ability to analyze and predict outcomes.

Lessons are tailored to each learner’s proficiency level. Beginners focus on foundational principles, basic calculations, and understanding chemical behavior through observation and guided exercises. Intermediate learners explore reaction mechanisms, multi-step problems, thermodynamic concepts, and analytical techniques. Advanced learners tackle complex kinetics, spectroscopy, experimental design, and critical evaluation of reactions, all within a structured, supportive environment. Each session integrates discussion, practice, and conceptual reinforcement to ensure mastery of both theoretical and practical components of chemistry.

Chemistry education also develops transferable skills such as logical reasoning, systematic problem-solving, and analytical thinking. Students gain the ability to interpret data, evaluate reactions, and apply concepts creatively to new situations. Many learners feel a sense of accomplishment as abstract chemical principles become intuitive and meaningful. My goal is to cultivate both academic excellence and a lasting curiosity about chemistry, preparing students for advanced studies, professional applications, and a lifelong appreciation for the subject.
