About Brett
My passion for Chemistry developed through an interest in understanding the structure and behaviour of matter. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry before completing a PhD in Chemical Sciences. Over the last 9 years, I have helped students improve their understanding through supportive and structured teaching.
I believe every student can succeed when lessons are adapted to their learning style. My teaching approach focuses on clarity, encouragement, and helping learners develop confidence through steady progress. I enjoy making complex ideas easier to understand.
Outside education, I follow developments in materials science, environmental chemistry, and industrial research. These interests help me connect lessons to modern scientific applications. Helping students develop stronger scientific thinking remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my profession.

My Chemistry lessons focus on helping students understand the principles that explain how matter behaves and changes. We cover topics such as atomic structure, bonding, chemical reactions, equilibrium, acids and bases, and organic chemistry through simple explanations and engaging examples. I encourage students to understand concepts rather than rely solely on memorisation.
Lessons are structured to suit each learner’s needs and educational goals. Through guided calculations, interactive discussions, and targeted practice activities, students strengthen their analytical skills and scientific reasoning. Each lesson is designed to build confidence alongside knowledge.
I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. As understanding improves, learners become more confident when approaching complex problems and scientific concepts. My goal is to help students achieve strong results while enjoying the learning process.
