About Cassandra
With 5 years of teaching and professional experience, I have shaped my career as a drum tutor who believes in simple teaching, strong fundamentals, and creative learning. Teaching school to college students has allowed me to see how music can positively impact young minds by building confidence and focus. A major highlight in my journey was mentoring a group of students who created their own rhythm piece for an interschool event. Their teamwork and creativity showed me how deeply music can inspire learners. I have also worked with many beginners, helping them overcome their fear of trying something new.
My teaching method includes slow demonstrations, clear explanations, guided practice routines, and regular feedback. I focus on rhythm accuracy, beat consistency, hand technique, and musical expression. I also help students play along with songs, which builds motivation and makes learning enjoyable. What drives me as a tutor is the excitement I see when students master something they once found difficult. I believe learning drum should be fun, encouraging, and full of growth. My mission is to help students discover their rhythm, express themselves confidently, and enjoy the lifelong gift of music.

My drum teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. My lessons are simple, structured, and enjoyable, helping students build rhythm sense, technique, and musical understanding in a comfortable environment. Motivation is key to learning an instrument. I keep students encouraged with achievable goals, fun practice tasks, and progress tracking. This helps them stay excited whether they are learning basic beats or advanced grooves. Communication plays a major role. I break down each exercise into simple steps, demonstrate clearly, and repeat until the student feels confident.
I always listen to student concerns and adjust lessons based on their individual needs. Integrity influences the way I teach. I give honest feedback in a friendly, supportive tone and help students stay disciplined in their practice. My classes follow a clear structure that leads to steady, meaningful progress. Creativity brings life to drumming. I teach students how to create rhythms, build drum fills, and try different genres like pop, rock, funk, and jazz. I also include theory basics, timing exercises, and coordination drills to build strong foundations. Besides Drums, I can teach rhythm development, percussion basics, tempo control, and general music skills that support a student’s complete growth as a musician.
