About Kendra
I am a certified teacher for Early Childhood through 6th grade along with Special Education through 12th grade. I have a masters degree in counseling. I have experience teaching the subjects Math, English, Science and Social Studies to students in preschool through middle school for 15 years. I was successful in building a positive relationship with my students so I could target their strenghts and areas needed for growth. My students averaged 1 to 2 years in academic growth each year.

I give lessons to students in elementary school and middle school who need additional one on one support to master a concept or want to prepare themselves for success on state testing or college entrance exams. I provide lessons online through Skype or in person.
I focus on each students individual needs using preassessments to measure specific needs. I use a modeling approach where I teach using visual supports such as pictures, real like objects or white board examples then I allow the student an opportunity to practice. I encourage students to take risks by providing encouragement and rewards for their efforts.
