About Heather
Hello! My name is Heather Sanchez, and I’m a certified educator with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University and a teaching certification for grades 1–8, along with an SEI (Structured English Immersion) endorsement. I bring both academic expertise and a compassionate teaching approach to every lesson. With over a decade of experience—primarily in early elementary classrooms—I’ve helped countless students build a strong foundation in core subjects, especially in math and literacy. I know how important it is to tailor instruction to each child’s unique learning style, and I take pride in using hands-on, visual, and adaptive teaching methods that make concepts stick and build confidence. I’ve worked extensively with students in grades 1 through 6, supported my own children through middle school math, and have even helped co-workers with their college-level math coursework. This broad range of experience allows me to break down complex concepts into approachable, relatable steps—no matter the learner’s age or background. I believe in fostering a positive, encouraging environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow.
