About Marissa
I am a 24 year old teacher and coach. I graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2020. My focus has always been in psychology with a minor in child development. When I graduated, I was not entirely sure what I wanted to do with my degree, so I hopped on the teaching pathway. Although I have only done it for 3 years, I have learned that being in the classroom is not where I am meant to be. I am not able to help the way that I am meant to help inside the classroom. When in the classroom you are set to only teaching what you are allowed to teach, I want to be able to help in more areas than just one. Which is what brought me here. Here I am able to tutor people that need help in many different subject areas. I am able to help English Language learners speak english, I am able to help elementary students learn tricks on their multiplication tables, I am able to help middle school students with their reading comprehension, I am able to help high school students build their study habits early, and I am able to help young adults on their college journey. I am able to be the source that I wanted/needed when I was in school.

I will gear all lessons to help you learn the material the way that you learn best. I teach all levels of students from honors students to special education students. I know how to cater my lessons to what you need and how you learn. I can help with all levels of need. My specialties are in Kindergarten through 6th grade and any type of social science (Psychology, Sociology, etc.) from high school and college.
I will break down the material in ways that most teachers do not, I will show tricks to get to the write answer and to remember the material. I will help you build positive study habits and note taking skills.
