I've been a teacher for 5 years and it is a passion of mine to share my love of learning and information with others. My tutoring lesson plans are individualized, goal-oriented, and data-driven. Each session is designed around the student’s specific needs, whether academic support, skill reinforcement, or confidence-building. I begin by identifying clear objectives and align activities to those goals in a way that is accessible and meaningful for the student.
Lessons typically include:
A brief review or warm-up to activate prior knowledge
Direct instruction using clear, simple explanations
Guided practice with immediate feedback
Independent or supported practice to reinforce skills
A short check for understanding to measure progress
I incorporate multi-sensory strategies, visuals, and real-life connections to keep students engaged and motivated. I also communicate regularly with families about progress, strategies used, and next steps to ensure consistency and support beyond tutoring sessions.
My goal in tutoring is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them gain confidence, develop independence, and experience success as learners.
