I am an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and dedicated teacher for individuals with disabilities. I have a sibling with an intellectual disability which has influenced my interest in special education. I am passionate about inclusive employment for individuals with disabilities, and ensuring that all students with disabilities are adequately prepared for life after graduating.
I can provide the following instruction:
-Explicit instruction reading lessons (phonics, phonemic awareness) using current, evidence-based reading practices
-Explicit instruction math lessons ranging from pre-k number sense awareness up to college-level calculus
-Applied behavior analysis (ABA) discrete trial training (DTT) for individuals with autism
-Vocational, independent living skills, and overall life skills lessons for teens/adults with disabilities to increase independence, employability, self-awareness, and self-determination
