About Meya
Hello! My name is Meya, and I am a licensed social studies educator with a Bachelor's degree in Social Science Secondary Education and a Master's degree in History. I have experience teaching middle school and high school students in a classroom setting, helping learners of all ability levels develop a deeper understanding of history, civics, geography, and social studies.
I believe that every student can succeed when they receive personalized support, clear explanations, and encouragement. My goal is to create a positive and welcoming learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities. Whether a student is struggling with a specific topic, preparing for an exam, or looking to improve their grades, I tailor each lesson to meet their individual needs and learning style.
As both a classroom teacher and historian, I bring a strong academic background and practical teaching experience to every lesson. I specialize in helping students improve their historical thinking, reading comprehension, writing skills, research abilities, and test-taking strategies. I focus on making complex topics understandable and engaging by connecting historical events to real-world issues and encouraging critical thinking.

My lessons are student-centered and tailored to each learner's needs, goals, and learning style.
