I worked for 10+ years as a professional scientist, but was always drawn to teaching. I finally made a career leap 8 years ago, and am thrilled that I did. I am love sharing my passion for the sciences, and have been told that that my excitement is contagious.

I adapt my lessons to meet the needs of students. I always draw from current events, breakthroughs in science, or the student's interests to relate the course material to real life. I then provide examples and give the student opportunities to "do" science, either by manipulating data, working on a model, or doing a hands-on experiment (yes, this is possible online). I give several mini assessments to check for understanding, adapt lessons, and build student confidence.
