Hey there, my name is Em! I'm a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and payroll operations leader who loves teaching the next generation of payroll professionals. What we can cover:
• Payroll concepts & compliance (FLSA, overtime, bonuses, exempt vs. nonexempt)
• Taxation & withholding (FIT, FICA, FUTA/SUTA), reciprocity, taxable vs. nontaxable fringe, imputed income
• Multi-state rules, SUI, locality taxes, third-party sick pay
• Garnishments, levies, child support, benefits & pre/post-tax deductions
• Accounting interface (GL mapping, reconciliations) & year-end (W-2, 941 balancing)
• Test strategy: blueprint mapping, timing drills, formula sheets, “must-know” thresholds (updated in session)
Each meeting ends with a concise recap, targeted practice, and a clear next-steps plan. I’m patient, practical, and relentlessly clear—no judgment, just progress.
