About Devon
Hi! I’m Devon — a certified Ontario teacher with a passion for making learning click for every student. With years of experience teaching Grades 1–8, I specialize in creating supportive, engaging environments where kids feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow in confidence. I have a particular strength in working with neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD, ASD, and learning exceptionalities. My approach is flexible and always student-centered. I believe every child learns differently — and that’s not a challenge, it’s an opportunity. In sessions, I use interactive tools, personalized strategies, and even custom 3D-printed rewards to keep students motivated. I also integrate AI to tailor content and simplify complex ideas, and I’ve even authored an AI guide for fellow educators. Whether your child needs help catching up, staying engaged, or getting ahead, I’m here to support their journey — one encouraging, focused session at a time.

We begin with a brief check-in and light activity to transition into learning mode and build connection.
Quick Review (5–10 min)
A short, interactive recap of previous concepts to reinforce retention and highlight progress.
Main Lesson (25–30 min)
The core of our session: customized instruction using visuals, real-world examples, games, or hands-on tools. Whether it’s fractions, reading comprehension, or essay writing, this segment is always engaging and purposeful.
Practice & Application (10–15 min)
The student applies what they’ve learned with my guidance. We work together to troubleshoot, reframe confusion, and celebrate growth.
Wrap-Up & Goal Setting (5 min)
We finish with a clear summary of wins, areas to keep working on, and next steps — so both the student and parents know exactly what’s been accomplished.
