My Teaching Approach and How I Share Knowledge
1. Teaching Techniques and Methods:
I use a communicative and interactive teaching style that focuses on practical use of the German language. My approach includes:
Conversation practice: Encouraging students to speak from day one to build confidence.
Task-based learning: Using real-life scenarios to practice vocabulary and grammar.
Multimedia tools: Incorporating videos, audio clips, and interactive exercises to keep classes engaging and varied.
Step-by-step grammar explanation: Breaking down grammar rules simply and reinforcing them with exercises.
Regular quizzes and revision: To ensure concepts are well understood and retained.
2. Usual Structure of a Class:
Each class is designed to be productive and focused, usually structured as follows:
Warm-up and review (10-15 minutes): Brief recap of the previous lesson with Q&A.
Introduction of new topic (20-25 minutes): Explanation of new vocabulary, grammar, or language skills.
Practice activities (20-25 minutes): Interactive exercises, role-plays, or written tasks related to the new topic.
Summary and homework assignment (5-10 minutes): Recap of key points and homework to reinforce learning outside the class.
3. Special Features as a Teacher:
Personalized attention: I adapt my teaching pace and style according to each student’s needs.
Focus on exam readiness: My classes emphasize the Goethe A1 exam format and practice tests to ensure students feel prepared and confident.
Friendly and supportive environment: I encourage questions and provide constructive feedback to help students overcome their challenges.
Flexible scheduling: Since classes are on weekends, I ensure lessons are concise and impactful, maximizing limited time.
4. Target Audience:
My classes are specially designed for:
School students who want to start learning German early and prepare for the Goethe A1 exam.
College students seeking a solid foundation in German for academic or career goals.
Anyone new to German language learning aiming to clear the A1 level with confidence.
