About Carly
I’m a first grade teacher who genuinely enjoys helping kids feel more confident in their learning, especially when something has felt frustrating or out of reach. I bring a calm, patient approach to tutoring and focus on making students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without pressure.
I know how important it is for kids to feel supported not just academically, but emotionally, so I try to create a space where they feel encouraged and understood. I especially enjoy those moments when something finally clicks and a student realizes, “I can do this.” Outside of teaching, I value building strong relationships with families and keeping communication simple and clear so parents always feel in the loop.

Every child learns differently, and my goal is to help each student build confidence while developing the skills they need to succeed. As a first-grade teacher with 10 years of classroom experience, I specialize in creating engaging, personalized lessons that meet students where they are and help them make meaningful progress.
I offer tutoring in reading, phonics, writing, elementary math, homework support, and study skills for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. My lessons are patient, encouraging, and tailored to each child's learning style and goals. Whether your child needs extra support, wants to strengthen foundational skills, or is looking for an academic challenge, I strive to make learning positive, interactive, and enjoyable while helping them gain confidence both in and out of the classroom.
