About Rasheeda
Hi! I'm Ms. P, and I'm all about making learning fun and meaningful. As a proud Black children's book author, I'm on a mission to bring diverse stories to life and inspire young minds through the power of literature.
With my New York state teaching certification and years of experience teaching ELA to elementary and middle school students, as well as serving as an instructional coach and director of curriculum and instruction, I've got the skills and know-how to help you thrive.
When it comes to tutoring, I'm all about building connections. I want our sessions to feel like a safe space where you can be yourself and where your interests shape our learning journey. Whether it's discussing your favorite books or diving into exciting new topics, I'm here to make learning enjoyable and relevant to you.
I've had some amazing moments in my teaching career, like helping students make incredible leaps in their reading skills. There's nothing quite like seeing that light bulb go off when they make a breakthrough!
As a lifelong learner myself, I'm always staying up-to-date on the latest teaching techniques and trends. I'm here to tailor our lessons to your needs, using data to guide our journey together.
Outside of tutoring, you can usually find me drawing or working on my latest writing project. I'm excited to share my love for literature and language arts with you and help you reach your goals!
