About Teodora
A recent UCL Politics Sociology and East European Studies, I am currently working as a Romanian-English interpreter and translator, while doing some journalism on the side. My interpreting specialism is in public settings, but I have also interpreted for small creative businesses. My translation work is anything from literary materials, to subtitles and ads. I did editorial work for a Romanian magazine and have recently started writing (mostly) about culture and East European politics. Now that we got the boring side out of the way, congratulations on wanting to learn a new language or trying to improve your existing language skills! I am hoping that we will go on this learning journey together and that at the end we will both be better for it.

My lessons are aimed at people of all levels, for both those that want to learn Romanian or English. The only mention is that for English learners, I am best suited to helping Romanians, as that is the second language used on some of the aiding materials. I'm a firm believer in adapting learning according to student. Some learn best through traditional methods, mimicking a classic classroom setting, while others are a better fit for an informal teaching style, brought to life through a sort of immersion technique. During our 30 min-1h lessons, we will work with different teaching materials, such as exercise sheets, vocabulary games, films, music and more. This will be once again tailored to you, whether you are a visual learner, an auditory one etc. In any case, I am happy to structure our sessions to best fit you and your needs and am always open to changing things as we progress.
