About Rolonda
I am a certified English Language Arts teacher with five years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students succeed. I spent four years teaching 7th grade ELA and am currently teaching middle and high school literature for Grades 7–12 in a virtual learning environment. I hold a master’s degree in education and am currently working toward earning my specialist degree. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, building skills, and growing academically.

My Tutoring Approach
As a tutor, I believe students learn best when they feel supported, confident, and actively involved in the learning process. Typical Lesson Structure
A typical lesson begins with a brief check-in and review of previous skills. I then introduce the focus skill (such as main idea, theme, inference, or writing organization) using a clear explanation and example. Students practice the skill with guidance before working independently. We end each session with a short reflection or exit question to reinforce learning and set goals for the next lesson.
