I am an experienced instructor, trainer, workshop facilitator, and speech coach with a certificate in Accent Modification, MA in TESOL, and PhD in Education. I have helped adults and professionals with advanced English proficiency from many language and career backgrounds to achieve their speaking goals, including: • Students and professionals preparing for speaking exams and interviews • Managers and executives leading meetings and training sessions • Researchers presenting at international conferences in English With over 20 years of experience in education and speech coaching, my expertise and engaging lesson delivery will ensure that you feel confident and competent in any speaking situation.

I work with advanced English-speaking adult students and working professionals who want to speak English clearly and with more confidence. My instruction is centered on you: your goals, your needs, and your interests.
If your goal is to improve your English pronunciation, I use the research-based Compton PESL method of accent modification. We begin with a diagnostic speech assessment and analysis, then I design lessons and practice activities to target specific speech elements.
If your goal is to prepare for a specific speaking event, I use strategies from Toastmasters and my years of experience teaching public speaking courses to plan benchmarks and skill-building activities.
My lessons are meant to challenge but not frustrate you so that you can monitor your progress, build confidence, and reach your potential. Improving your speech is like learning sport or a musical instrument: It takes practice and hard work but should also be enjoyable and immediately applicable.
