About Nurfitri Ali
As founder of Lot19 Skatepark my passion is advocating for youth development through skateboarding. With years of experience in the local skate scene, envisioned Lot19 not just as a skatepark, but as a community hub — a place where skills, discipline, and respect are cultivated. Driven by the belief that skateboarding can build confidence, resilience, and character, has focused on creating structured programs, safe learning spaces, and positive mentorship for all ages and backgrounds. There is mission clear! To develop confident, disciplined, and skilled skateboarders who respect the culture, support each other, and grow through every fall and success — both on and off the board. At Lot19 Skateboarding School, students are guided to: - Master fundamentals with proper technique - Build self-esteem through consistent progress - Understand skatepark etiquette and safety - Embrace the values of patience, focus, and respect - Become part of a supportive skateboarding community Skate smart. Skateboarding lesson blends with the experience and using the structured methods for skateboarding coaches to handle lessons effectively, especially for beginners and friendly for all levels: --- 1. Structured Progression - Start with basics: stance, pushing, balance - Gradually move to tricks: ollie, turning, stopping - Always assess student’s level before advancing 2. Demonstrate → Guide → Practice - Coach demonstrates clearly - Then guide step-by-step - Let students repeat and explore, with corrections 3. Positive Reinforcement - Focus on effort, not just results - Celebrate small wins - Encourage progress even through failure 4. Build Confidence - Reduce fear by breaking skills into smaller steps - Use safety gear consistently - Teach in safe, controlled environments 5. Group Management - Mix group & individual attention - Rotate stations (e.g. balance drill, ramp practice) - Keep sessions fun, engaging & interactive 6. Teach Skatepark Etiquette - Respect other skaters - Take turns - Be aware of surroundings 7. Use Visual Cues & Feedback - Use cones, tape, or markers to guide movements - Film students for playback & correction 8. Adapt to Student Needs - Every student is different (age, fear level, coordination) - Be patient, flexible, and supportive
