About Sophia
My name is Sophia and have been teaching online and in person for the last 9 years. I also have a degree in Hispanic Studies, meaning I speak Spanish at a C2 level and Portuguese at a B1 level. I am currently studying a master's online in Latin American studies at UCM in Madrid. As I have been a language student myself, I know that using a foreign language can be scary. Because of this, I do my best to make sure that all students feel happy and comfortable in my lessons. I always personalise my classes and materials to my students' diverse needs and interests and work with my students to find out what works well for them.

I have plenty of experience teaching both children and adults. I really enjoy the different experiences of working with people of different ages and levels. I work with students (or their parents!) to discuss their specific language goals and we make a plan for how best to achieve them. I also have experience in exam preparation for different exam boards and levels.
