About Michael
I am an experienced teacher who has stepped back from teaching for a while and now would like to get back into it.
I am a passionate, social, diligent teacher who prepares methodically to get the best class taught.
I use humour, games and student led activities in my classes.
I prepare the class so the student has the most talking time and always thinks about the lesson.
The classes will be vocabulary heavy, focusing on pronunciation which improves speaking skills.
Listening activities will be taken from "real" authentic sources and not by an actor in a fake accent.
I enjoy teaching and find it rewarding to see the development of students from day one to level change day.

My technique is fast paced student centred lesson.
I use different teaching methods to get to the lesson aim. Test Teach Test, Contextual lessons from authentic material and vocabulary heavy lessons.
Lesson duration is one hour.
Student does most of the work as passive learning doesn't work. Student is in control of their learning journey with support from me.
5 years experience teaching different levels and different ages online and face to face.
Lessons are for every level particularly focused on speaking, pronunciation, listening and writing.
