About Vicky
I am a Bachelor of Music Student and the University of Melbourne, specialising in cello performance. I have had three yes of teaching experience and am a cello teacher at Dunhuang Arts Academy. ((concealed information)
I am currently studying with Dr Richard Narroway and have previously studied with Michael Dahlenburg. I started cello when I was seven years old, and was awarded my AmusA in 2017 and my LmusA in 2019. Following my licentiate exam, I performed solo at the Conferring of Diplomas Ceremony in Hawthorn Town Hall.
I received my secondary education at Caulfield Grammar School, Wheelers Hill and graduated in 2020. I was a full cello scholarship recipient and was involved in many music ensembles including orchestra, string ensemble, piano trio and a cello quintet.
I am passionate about chamber music and have been selected for the Australia Chamber Orchestra Academy in 2018 and 2020. Additionally, I participated in Australia Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp in 2019, where I played in both an ensemble and chamber setting.

As a teacher I prioritise nurturing passion for music, while ensuring a solid technical foundation. My few years of teaching experience has allowed me to better understand young children and has encouraged me to adopted teaching styles suited towards them. I can teach in English or Chinese.
I also can help with scholarship preparation. Being a full scholar to Caulfield Grammar School, I understand specific approaches that are effective for scholarship preparation.
I am also very familiar with the AMEB syllabus, have done exams up to LMusA myself.
I offer lessons through a teaching or tutoring (helping under the primary teacher) both in person or online. I am based around South Yarra/ Camberwell/ Wantirna South. I can offer a free trial lesson.
