About Rohini
I am Rohini. I studied music from Thiruvaiyaru Music College, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu in 1978 and obtained Sangeeta Siromani title. I specialize in teaching and training children from ages 7 to 18 years. I also have taught a handful of adults who were eager to learn music. I also teach tamizh bhakti songs.

I give importance to training in shruti and thalam as they are the fundamentals of music. A strong foundation of music theory will be taught to understand the nuances of music. The lessons start from sarali varisai, jandai varisai, melsthayi varisai and go all the way upto geetam. Following this the Varnas and keerthanas will be taught.
